Don Coscarelli – An incredibly strange film and the accompanying poster exemplifies that. ![]() Romero – One can’t have a top ten 70s classic horror poster list without including the follow-up to Romero’s classic NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD although simplistic in design, the DOTD poster completely encapsulates the film’s mood, theme and style, an image to be consumed by the consumers for sure.ĥ. Sadly PROPHECY is another great Paramount film that could have been a bigger hit, if promoted properly. It also kick-started the trend of Paramount Pictures burying their own horror flicks (THE KEEP or THE SENDERs ill-fates were touched on in our 80s spotlight). ![]() John Frankenheimer – PROPHECY is a love or hate it kind of film. Irwin Allen – Okay, we will admit that our eighth entry really isn’t the most terrifying flick on the list however, the poster really does, in typical busy Irwin Allen style, sell THE SWARM as a total fright fest: you will never look at bees the same way.ħ. The image is fantastic and is just as memorable as the flick itself. Werner Herzog – Almost like a poster constructed for an adult fairy-tale, this classic Herzog experience easily deserved a brilliant one sheet to accompany it theatrically. The poster, with an upside down Julie Christie, is beautifully haunting and mysterious and truly compliments this misunderstood gem.ĩ. But nothing compares to the weirdness that lurks within DEMON SEED (based on the novel by Dean R. Donald Cammell – Carrying on from the psychedelic 60s, the 70s expanded on that style and brought us some unique, hypnotic and visceral head-trip horror like PHASE IV & THE MANITOU. Either way, one thing is clear: the final three episodes of Loki are sure to be a wild ride and the Time-Keepers will play a huge part in that.Now, of course, these selections are personal and cannot do the decade justice, so please pipe in with some of your favorites in the comments section below.ġ0. It's possible that, if they exist at all, the Time-Keepers could even request to meet with Loki and Sylvie themselves to get to the bottom of the situation. While it seems more likely that Loki and Sylvie will be captured by the TVA once the organization figures out where they are, it's clear that the Time-Keepers have a vested interest in the pair, especially after Sylvie's bombing of the Sacred Timeline. It's possible Loki episode 4 could dive into the mystery surrounding the Time-Keepers, but there's the matter of escaping Lamentis-1 first. Typically, Marvel will release character posters for those who have just appeared in recent episodes of their series, but with the release of this poster, it's now unclear when, if it all, they may make their grand entrance. Could they be something other than the all-powerful beings the TVA purports them to be? Could the Time-Keepers not exist at all? Whether or not Loki answers those questions remains to be seen and the poster above certainly seems to hint that those answers may not come for a while. Theories and questions abound about the mysterious Time-Keepers. Instead of a real-life glimpse at the Time-Keepers, though, the poster highlights the stone statues of the trio already seen in the Time Variance Authority. The format of the poster follows the other one-sheets released for Loki so far, with the Time-Keepers seen against a backdrop of a golden clock. While viewers may have to wait a while until they get a glimpse at the Time-Keepers in the show, Marvel has released a new poster teasing the trio. Related: Why The TVA Is Guarding The Time-Keepers Still, the Time-Keepers have yet to be seen, despite Loki's insistence in the early episodes that he be granted a meeting with those overseeing the Sacred Timeline. Gugu Mbatha-Raw's Renslayer can also be heard mentioning the Time-Keepers and how they are watching over the case involving Loki. Loki 's mid-season preview teased more to come for the God of Mischief and Sylvie, including the introduction of more Loki Variants and the aforementioned pair's eventual capture by the Time Variance Authority. ![]()
